Do any brothers use smoke eater machines or air filters in their smoking rooms? I am thinking about a Man Room in my basement and I might incorporate some sort of filtration system into the finishing of the room. (an unfinished basement has such great potential)

I know industrial strength ones are to be had from restaurants that no longer need them from smoking bans....
off to use the googles to see if there is a second-hand market.

Are you planning to tie it into your existing HVAC system in the house? You'll need to get an HVAC guy (unless that's your proffesion :p ) to help you with all the calculations and such if you are. Basicaly it sounds like a good idea, just some details ya need to look into before you spend the $s.

no...i want a stand alone air purification system/ smoke eater. I want to install it then do my drywall and trim around it so it looks like it is supposed to be there/ out of the way. i am aware of the existence of units like this, i just have to find one.

Good idea. I never thought of that, but then again, I've never been in the market for one. Michigan's smoking ban is less than two years old now. There may be some to be had not far from your home.
