So my joke at the smoke shop on Oct 31st was, "Guess what I am for Halloween?"   Answer, "Unemployed!"

That killed my Outer Banks drum fishing trip as I lit up my network that I was available.   I'm in the IT industry so recruiters came out of the network.   Most of the recruiters were completely clueless.   Turned down one offer the week after I was laid off.   Couldn't tell you why, but it was a gut feeling.  As I get older I am listening to my gut more often then not.

Well have a dozen or so recruiters ringing off the hook I ended up taking a job on Friday that came from a friend that introduced me to the company where he employed.  Excited about the company.   Good group of folks.   Celebrated with Old Weller 107 and Mississippi River.

Back to the commute tomorrow! :affraid:

Now to focus on the Secret Santa victim, I mean recipient! :santa:

Congrats on being snapped up so quickly. I hope you like the new job

That is fantastic news Geoff, congrats on the new position, you must feel a great sense of ease knowing you're employed again, couldn't be more pleased for you chap. :sunny:

Good for you, Geoff, on finding a suitable position so quickly. I wish you all the best!

Congratulations Geoff!  The quick turn around speaks of your skill.
Everytime I've failed to follow my gut, I've lived to regret it - good choice.

Congrats in the new position, as well as good luck adjusting to the new company!

Definitely something to be thankful about this year!
