Am I 'old school' and, if so, is that a bad thing?

One of my fav guns was a Ruger MK II. Blue, 5 &1/2" bull barrel. Could knock beer cans off a fence post at 100 yds all day long. I also have the Marlin 94 lever in 357. Deadly accurate out to 200 yds and fun to shoot.

Ruger MK III Hunter. 6 7/8" fluted bull barrel. Stainless steel. 10 round magazine (I have 5). Bunch of pluses but a bear to clean. The MK IV is supposed to be much easier to clean.

A .22 handgun needs some barrel length to get some power out of the cartridge. My wife has the little Ruger LCR in .22 lr. 1 7/8" barrel I think. Way too short IMHO. But I wouldn't want to get shot with a pellet pistol!

Old school skiing.. in middle Tennessee they didn't have any snow ski slopes, but we used after getting off the hay then after a rain, we would find a calf and pick on the tail and ski as long as we could stay on. Great fun!
