They were made by Royal Dutch, a factory better known for Big Ben pipes.
Researching this, I was saddened to learn that RDC went bellyup in March. Sic transit etc etc.

But, it seems as if somebody stepped forward to save the company. Maybe we will see some more Big-Bens in the future
