I see one that I might be persuaded to pay up to $200 if I was buying more pipes. It's the Shell Panel 41 EK but it has to be a group 4 or larger or it would be a hard sell. No interest in any of the others. :)

Well, I did get a good laugh looking at the link that monbla256 was nice enough too share with us, thanks much. Too be honest with you I think the seller means Elizabeth Taylor Collection at that price.....lol.

If, and it's a BIG if....if they are rare Dunhill's they might be worth just over $1,000 to a Dunny collector. For me I have my grandfathers two Dunhill's and only smoke them in Honor of his Birthday. Oh, I'm NOT impressed with the way they smoke either.

Who the f-$$ cares if another pipe smoker notices me smoking a Dunhill and is impressed. But, my opinion the pipe in reality does not smoke as well as one of my OLD Yello-Bole pipes....now that's funny  :lol!:

PS
DID ANYONE ELSE NOTICE....Returns not accepted

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

OMG
I just took a real good look at ALL of the pictures. The seller states lightly smoked....go take a look at the 3 pipes that have burnt/charred rims... :fpalm: :fpalm: :fpalm:

Wonder if there's an actual market for items like this at these prices? Hong Kong billionaire merchant or something, know what I'm sayin'? Perhaps this seller knows something, in which case more power to him. Personally, I would want pre-1967 Dunhills before considering something like this at more than $175 each. And then only Shells. Most I ever paid for a Dunhill was $225. Dirty, but cleaned up really nice. Minty. Nice box, by the way, but who wants their pipes in a box?

I have pipes I could put together and sell for that kind of scratch but it would be more than 7 and everyone here has seen the condition of my pipes, cheers.

So the "lightly smoked" ones are the Bruyeres that were apparently lit with a blowtorch?
Ah, so I'm not the only one that noticed the burnt rims on these lightly smoked Dunhill's. I actually sent a question to the seller stating how can you say " lightly smoked "! His only response..." I'm a 3generation pipe maker and know what I'm talking about. These pipes are perfect "! That's a copy & paste exactly how he responded to my question. I looked closely with a magnifying glass and the shell briars look lightly smoked. Not one looked unsmoked as the seller stated. My advise, stay clear away from these Dunnies!!

Unfortunately Ted there will always be some putz out there that thinks he can put one over on anybody. He thinks that the Dunghill name is worth almost 2 grand a pipe for poorly treated specimens he is free to keep them and enjoy them himself. I would hope that anyone here would be smart enough to grab their wallets and run from this creep.

Thanks Jim, I was looking for a proper name and you really helped..." Dunghill "! Definitely not a big fan, can you tell...lol

Lol. I'm sure some of the older ones really are decent pipes but he is peddling 70's stuff. From what I understand even Dunhill devotees don't buy those as they rarely live up to anybodies standards.
