I, too, don't like most aromatics yet would love to have a decent apple blend in my cellar. I've tried many over the years, but the only one I've encountered that even came close to fitting the bill was Santee from Low Country. It's a virginia-based light aromatic that seems to perform best in warm weather. Otherwise, I can't think of a single one to recommend, which is a damn shame. Middleton's Apple was actually a good blend back when I started (in 1990) but it has declined drastically over the years.
