Boveda pack experiment.

I ordered 8 x 62% Boveda packs (8g) with my last tobacco shipment. I put two in each of four 200g codger tins to help prevent them from drying out before I use them up, the original plastic lids are less than hermetic and I have no hermalique jars for storage at the moment. Can anyone give me an idea of the usable life of Boveda packs in general? I know I will find out but forewarned is forearmed.

The so called codger blends are soaked in polypropylene glycol and shouldn’t dry out very fast as is but Bovida’s are 2 way and should keep them fresh just fine for a very long time.
I smoke a pretty natural tobacco that will dry out in days and I live in the dust dry desert 8 month a year. I keep 2 in my bagador that starts out at a out 5 pounds. I might have to rotate and recharge them in distilled water once in that time. Note I don’t like smoking dry tobacco so I keep my moister than some might like.
