Big score!

Just learned that we have our beer placed at Century Link Field in Seattle (formerly called Quest Field) which is the home of the Seattle Seahawks and Sounders soccer team.

This stadium is directly across the street from Safeco Field, the home of the Seattle Mariners. And while we've been represented at Safeco for many years, up until just now had been unsuccessful at breaking into the football facility.

That's all changed. We will now have at least 20 tap handles and as many as 30 on the main floor at Century Link Field starting in a few weeks when the Sounders play their opening game!

This is HUGE for Snoqualmie Falls Brewing, so if you attend a game look for us.

In addition to the Seahawks and Sounders, the Huskies will be playing their games at this stadium while their own one is being renovated later this year. So that's more bodies to enjoy the fruits of our labors!

So we'll now have a presence at both stadiums this year!!

Congrats.

Craft brewing is a hard, labor intensive business and it's nice to see that your efforts are paying off.

Congratulations! That's got to be truly exciting. Are you bottling as well as doing draught? Anywhere distribution in California?

Mr Pease

Yes, it's very good news and we're all pumped.

We package in 22 oz bombers as well as draft. The stadiums pour only the draft however, and we currently only distribute in WA state.

Cheers,

RR

Congrats    Very good news I wish you the best of luck.

So to speak! ;)

Hmmm. Maybe I'll have to make a trip up north...

I know out of state distribution is a pain, but we've got a serious population of craft brew fanatics down here, and, more than a couple tap rooms that might be interested in putting yours in. There's a local ale house that rotates through different breweries on a regular basis.

Then again, you probably have your hands full with the stadii. ;)

We use the phrase "bombers" in the southeast too... if they dont here in Chicago, I do. When one of the older guys in college was turning 22, we would throw a "Deuce Deuce Party" serving only 22oz bombers.

A good theme party idea for some beer fanatics..... not just for 22 year olds. Many microbrews offer more esoteric blends in the 22oz format. It is also the format New Belgium uses to introduce Fat Tire into new markets.

Congrats, keep up the good work and maybe in a year or two I can try some out!
When you get national dist. :D

That's awesome! What beer types do you brew? I'd love to get a taste of your brew. Do you make any dark beers?

Ah, beer. There is nothing as refreshing to me.

Thanks for all the support guys. I appreciate it.

Getting into this venue has been an ongoing goal of ours for as many years as the venue has been open. So that's been a good few years.

While we've been part of the line-up at Safeco Field across the street for probably 8 years or more, it doesn't necessarily relate to the buyers at the football stadium. Different owners, different requirements.

It's all down to price at the end of the day. And the SKU that we sell at Safeco was priced specifically to conform with their requirements. As it turns out, the buyers at Century Link Field made just those same demands of all their previous breweries. And guess what - virtually all of them defaulted!

That left a big (really big) hole in their supplier chain. Our distributor stepped in and pitched us (who already had a line price in sync with their demands) and there we are. Call it serendipity or what you like!

So the line-up of craft brews seems now to consist of the smaller micros rather than the larger ones. I can't be 100% sure of this right now but it looks like the biggest brewery will be Pike Brewing rather than the likes of Redhook, Widmer, Pyramid, etc. At least that's the information I've received up until now.

I hasten to add that apparently Century Link Field charges $9 or $9.50 for a 20 oz beer regardless of the brewery. At least for micros. That's the news as far as I've come to understand it!

Cheers,

RR

Mr Pease

You have only to pm me if you're up this way. It would be a rare pleasure to host you.

Well, I must be on kind of a roll or something. Or else my lucky number has come up.

Just learned today that our beer will finally be offered at the local Indian casino which opened about 4-5 years ago. It's a fairly large facility, the biggest in the area, and has like 5 or 6 restaurants going from 5 star dining to deli sandwiches. And they have at least as many venues that serve draft beer!

Beyond that they put on big concerts with major names every few weeks. And being an Indian casino on a rez, they allow smoking and have a cigar bar. And I've never even set foot on the property! Wanna know why?

Too much detail to go into just now, but suffice to say that a political flap/grudge developed between the first CEO of the casino and one of the brewery partners. As a result the CEO banned our beer from being served for all this time. And since they refused to sell our beer (even though it's located a few miles from the brewery and bears the same namesake), I therefore refused to patronize the establishment!

Fair is fair - although I will say I have zero interest in gambling. Not on a moral issue mind, just never been interested in it. Yet, some of the concerts interested me and some of my local herfers met at the cigar bar. And I couldn't justify joining them due to the policies of the past CEO. It's a principle thing.

So now, with the new CEO being in place for about a year the political climate may be changing in our favor. It's not a done deal until the first keg is delivered of course. And even then it may start off with just 1 or 2 tap handles. Yet every one counts.

So I may be breaking my self-imposed ban on the local casino soon. I'll let y'all know.

Cheers,

RR

Congrats your company landed a contract like that!!! :D

PS, gambling is mostly stupid. Garage/guy's night poker not included.

Brewdude,

We will be visiting family in Spokane this summer. Is Snoqualmie distributed over there?

I will have to be sure to try some when I am out that way.
