Nice stuff, can be a metal head on occasion.
One of my favorites is Beneath the Sky.

Really enjoyed your stuff too kyle, really interesting stuff.
So you do everything with the keyboads? Is it ever tempting to download a program and do it from the computer?
Thanks for taking the time to check us out :)

Okay gentlemen, here is my first attempt at posting photos on this forum.

I am posting just two overall photos, a front and a rear. I also have a few smaller pieces on my lower legs, and the back of my neck is not so clearly visible in these photos. And yes, my hands are tattooed.

I apologize for the quality of the photos. That is Kaiser83's fault...

I have put alot of time, pain, and money into looking scary. The least you can do is at least feign offense at my appearance... :D

Cool, it worked! Kaiser83 and I had to come up with a novel way of posting the photos. Not only has he aided and abetted my introduction to pipe smoking, but he is keeping the embers burning by allowing me to communicate here with all you fine gentlemen.

Thanks Darrel!

Nice work , they give you any hassle about having them in the forces?

My good sir, I have not been a soldier in the Army since the 80's! I have been a contractor for the military since 1989. Appearance standards can still be an issue, but education and expertise can offset that. But don't let me fool you, they have proven a barrier more than once. We live with the consequences of our actions... That being said, I love working for the military. It has been a wonderful career. I am not sure I would know how to behave in polite society.

Pfff Military. Polite society. That was rich. :lol!:

Your tattoos scream "I need a hug," Sean68. Nice try though. :p

I was born in 89, as a matter of fact my dad was in the first desert storm during that time.

I'm starting to wonder if Sean EVER smiles. :p
Yep he smiles, Sean is actually one of the smilingest dudes out here.

Yeah, I can tell by that tattoo shot. Compared the rest of his pics, that's a big ol' s__t-eating grin! :p

Darrell, you can't be giving away all my secrets!

Gentlemen, I smile and laugh damn near most of the time. I am a rather jolly fellow, actually. I like the grimace photos just because they are so different from who I really am (and the grimace seems to match my tattoos quite nicely, thank you).

Also, the grimace comes in handy when dealing with folks at the utilities offices. Southerners are not known for their sense of urgency, until they are anxious to get me out of their office...

Cheers!

Nice thread! I've gotten one tattoo so far:

thepipesmokingdrummer I dig that boat tattoo. I remember when I got my tattoo a couple years ago, I planned how I would unveil it to my family. I decided that I would reveal it to them at Easter dinner at my aunt's house. So I stood up during dinner and I said "Everyone, I have an announcement!" My sister looked at me and said "You're gay?" Ahaha. I said no I have a tattoo, and I showed everyone my forearm. I was expecting this outrageous over the top reaction from my father but all he said was "If I had a tattoo I'd get it on my balls."

lol.

JoeQuo, would you care to translate the phrase on your forearm? I like the tattoo, and I have great appreciation for people with tattoos that have a deeper meaning.

Cheers!

Sean68, sure thing! The tattoo is an Italian translation of a bible verse-Romans 14:8, which reads:
"Whether we live or whether we die we belong to the Lord." (Sia che viviamo, sia che moriamo, noi apparteniamo al Signore)

I find that verse particularly meaningful because it states that God always has sovereignty over everyone, in life and in death. The significance of that fact in this context is that it emphasizes how all Christians are subjects to God in a like manner, and are answerable, not to us, but directly to Jesus, and should have the same liberty of conscience that we have. It sort of shames believers who do not grant the same rights to others that they claim for themselves.

In other words, when somebody says "I don't believe Christians should have tattoos (or smoke a pipe or have a beer)" you show them this verse . :)
