You must not have Food Lions there. Originally found in NC but now owned by a big grocery conglamerate, most Food Lions have a tobacco section that more than rivals some local B&Ms here. :D All Drug Store Blends, mind you. :D And, almost every snuff and chewing tobacco known to man. :D

I have noticed all OTC's are getting harder to find. JRCigar.com is a good source as well to order by mail.

When I bought cigars, I used JR a lot, also for Cafe' Mayorga.
They have great prices on Rattray's tins, $13.50 with the shipping.
That's 67.50 for 500g. If ya figure the cost of jars, it's comparable to bulk.

Most discount cigarette stores around me carry Carter Hall, Prince Albert, and other "drug store" brands.

Same here.
I did notice that the local Wal-Mart doesent carry PA anymore, just the bags of the ultra cheap stuff. But the local discount ciggie store had plenty.

It's regional. None of the stores or tobacco shops here carry either CH or PA, opting instead for Captain Black (which come to find out is bought many cans at a time from our tourists from Mexico).

Most grocery stores here in central MO carry CH, at least in the pouches. The larger ones will sometimes have tubs. Buck has a good recommendation for an on-line source, another is Mars Cigars. Our discount cigarette stores sometimes have it, too.

Smokey

The three largest supermarkets in this area do not sell ANY tobacco products now. both drugstore chains still sell cigarettes however no pipe tobacco,,unless you consider the 3 pound bag of PG laced cardboard cavendish smoke worthy. It seems the in and out gas marts have no market for anything other than chew and off brand discount cigarettes. The smokeshop (35 miles down the road) told me when the supply of tins runs out, ( very limited ) they will not reorder,,, or any pipe related items. Basically funneling all sources into the online business. Kinda sad.
