This year I got into C&D Burley Flake. Love them, particularly #2. Earthy, dry (like a dry alcohol kind of dry) and sooo good.

Funny, personal tastes vary. I guess that's why there are so many different blends. I like all 3. To me SWR has a bit more flavor, probably the burley.

My OTC/"Codger" blends are limited to Carter Hall & Prince Albert. I just have not ventured back to any of the others. CH is my fav of the two; it does especially well in a cob/maple/apple and/or cherrywood!! Solani Aged Burley Flake, MacB's Golden Extra, Wessex Burley Flake, and Watch City Slice I can recommend strongly. The Uhle's and LJ Peretti Burleys are excellent. I just don't have enough experience with them to recommend any at the moment!! FWIW...FTRPLT

Have you tried Daughters & Ryan Picayune? It's heavy on the burley (perique included), and though it has a unique taste, I think it could appeal to a cigar adjacent smoker. I love it in a cob, too.
