I know a few like this blend, and as a cigar smoker I was anxious to give it a shot. I picked up a tin last September and my initial reaction was was not very good (more on that later) so I set it aside. I tried against yesterday with similar results. I find Purple Cow to be a mediocre blend and just don't get much of anything from it. I don't taste the cigar leaf, and there is a faint note of lat, but for the most part I'm getting straight burley. The odd thing is that every time I smoke this blend (4-5 times now) I have felt sick by the end of the bowl. I've smoked some fairly heavy duty blends and my taste in cigars is to the far end of full bodied yet I have never found myself on the verge of puking. I don't find Purple Cow to be exceptionally strong or offensively flavored, but it some how triggers this reaction in me. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this with a specific blend when similar blends are no problem.
