Who is going?

I am gonna be there, making pipes right now for my table.  Please come and introduce yourself, and buy a pipe or two

there must be a BOB meet up sometime during the show yeah?

I will be there Thursday - Sunday. Kicking back plenty in the tent. Maybe also in the Courtyard. Don't forget the freebie Friday evening meal. It has always been a fantastic buffet every time I have been there. Not that I really need to partake.  :sunny:

I'll be there all weekend. There are usually a SF and PM board meet and greet sometime on Saturday.  :shock:

I will be in attendance but not to sell this year. Just going to enjoy the festivities and look for a couple new pipes. And cutting back on expenses so only staying Friday through Monday. I just love walking around this show, there's just so much to see and so many great people to speak with.

I so want to be there...but my flight from Nairobi to Chicago does not get in until May 15.

I hope to pop in Saturday or Sunday and poke around during the day. The negative of being so close is that I can't parlay the trip into an excuse for a room and a night out... I live only a few minutes away.

I will be there for Saturday. One of these years, I will find a way to make it Thurs-Sun/Mon. I've only been once, and it is already the highlight of my year. I will definitely stop by and visit your Rev. I would love it if we could get a meetup working for the event. Lord knows I probably walked past any number of brothers last year, and never knew. I'm open to ideas, whether we want to plan for a meetup, or even wear pins or some other conspicuous item to identify ourselves as BoB. At any rate, really looking forward to seeing you all there.

90% sure I am arriving Saturday by train and bringing my lovely bride as this will be our 27th Anniversary get away weekend, and we are arriving by train which has been a long time "to do" on our list! we have a room reserved in the tower and  today we should be getting our traveling accommodations in order!

The dates on the website have not be updated for the activities.  But there are almost always some Ladies only events taking place.  Shopping and stuff.  In addition, Pheasant Run has a salon and spa.  My wife has too many irons in the fire to go, so I just have to entertain myself.

If you are looking for me, I could be among any group of folks.  Just look for the fat lump, dressed like a bum.  With glasses.

With Amtrak I'd put that percentage 50 at best. You know union station is in the west loop and we're waaaay out in St Charles? If you take the Metra there's a stop close by in Geneva and I can pick you up.

We've added a new event !!
The Chicago Pipe Show 2014 introduces a new event: THE CHICAGO CIGAR SHOW on Thursday, May 1st, from 6 pm to 10 pm. Unlike most cigar shows, this cigar show is FREE! No tickets, you enter the show free, enjoy appetizers, enjoy Caribbean steel band music, visit great cigar retailers and buy the cigars you want at special show prices. This new event is in the tent, so you can smoke your new cigars, or your pipe.

Pheasant Run is offering golf before the Show at special discount prices. Food and adult beverages will also be available at regular prices at the show.

The link gives you more details on the special golf rates and when they apply. Looks like it may be a Thursday only rate. Let your fingers do the walking and check for sure if interested. I think this cigar event will be a lot of fun and not similar to the event that was held next to the show last year.

unfortunately I decided to cancel my trip, it was a last minute decision to go, and after a little bit more of consideration I decided I wasn't planning well enough
