Cob "Filter" Problem

Could be that the splintered wood was always present but not yet occlusive. Nothing special happened when it got in the way.

Glad you tuned up the machine, Alfredo. I was wondering what the hell it was!

I just let the tobacco burn off the shank that sticks into the bowl, then I mud the bottom up to the level of the draft hole, and resume. Kind of part of my process, and once the shank is even with the side of the bowl, the tobacco, not surprisingly, tastes a whole lot better. :lol:

I've cut the stem and glued the new length into the cob, but in so doing some of the Elmer's Wood Glue got into the bottom of the bowl. Is it safely smoked upon?

Just pop it out carefully from the bowl with instrument of choice--I doubt it'll take much effort. Not dangerous, I don't think, but unless you like tasting horse hoof in your tobacco...
