Not to interrupt the philosophy, but I noticed on Walker Briar's site that MM is raising their prices in 2011.

I can't imagine it'll be too hard on the wallet anyway, but if you were thinking of getting a new cob (maybe to taste all your Secret Santa goodies), pull the trigger now. They sell pretty briskly, so old stock at old prices will be gone before you know it.

2.)Own six.
3.)Smoke cobs daily--any time of day I might not be smoking a briar or sleeping.
4.)I smoke my usual burleys in 'em.
5.)Good flavor, cool smoke, ideal for windy conditions, good feel in the hand, rugged, low maintenance, easier to buy than briars, cheap.
6.)The stems may wear out quickly, but you can buy them for 25 cents each when ordering the pipes online. They are not exactly uniform in size and all, this annoys me. Few MM designs are large enough and/or functional for serious smoking. Never seen a pipe pouch that might accomodate an MM General. Some good designs don't have hardwood bottoms, this annoys me.
7.)I wouldn't trust anybody, or vote for anybody unless they could do something positive for smokers.
8.)Trusting is stupid.
