I LOVE A COB SALAD

I spent most of the day on and off cutting the shank again and making a wide enough stem so I can use a rubber bit. Did a glass bead band around the rear reverse Calabash bowl rim and the shank. The stem turned out well and it actually looks like an Oom Paul style pipe. Tomorrow I will take a few pictures and post them here. Since we are talking about Cobs. If I post it under DIY maybe 2 people will comment...lol

HAVE A GOOD NIGHT YA'LL

The completed Oom Paul Reverse Calabash Cob Pipe

Finally finished the pipe and I was able to achieve a tight fit of the shank to the chamber with a glass bead and clear liquid acrylic. No air can be sucked thru when I cup the tobacco chamber. The stem bent easily and I was able to make the bit portion wider to accommodate a rubber bit. So, it should in theory smoke well. I will light 'er up over the weekend.
I can't take full credit for the idea, I combined my version from two different reverse Calabash Cobs that were being sold a while back on eBay for what I thought was a high price.

Ted, most excellent reverse calabash cob there. Looks like a real pleasure to smoke. Enjoy it in rude good health.

Thanks guys, just finished my first bowl in that Cob and it really smoked very well, for the first time. Breaking it in slowly with StormFront. NO AIR LEAKAGE from the shank to chamber circumference

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

I can honestly say the Reverse Cob Calabash is smoking amazingly cool and dry. But there's a trick I've learned to get what a Calabash pipe is all about and this smoking procedure works every time

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!
