Hmmm I thought I'd get others opinions on these interesting little "cigars". I occasionally buy a pack of these for the wife and myself. I find them okay every now and then, and tend to prefer them in this colder weather. Anyone ever try these out? They've changed their recipe a few times and are only a shadow of what they used to be since "flavored cigarettes" are no longer "legal". The sweet sauce stuff they put on the filter tastes like candy and Christmas...

I agree--I don't care for the "filtered cigar" remix of Djarums.

Drew Estates makes a small clove cigar--"Clove Tikis"--that is pretty tasty, but it's an actual cigar, albeit a short smoke. It's not a replacement in flavor terms for a proper Indonesian kretek.

I've been told you can get the original cigarettes online but they have to be ordered from the factory or Canada. I may look into it.

Never been into the whole clove thing. I admit they smell nice, but when I want a cigar, I want a cigar. Someone got me to smoke one of the Drew Estate flavored cigars (I forget what it was called, but it wasn't acid) and I thought I was going to go into diabetic shock right then and there. And I'm a guy who regularly smokes Captain Black and 1Q!

I smoked cloves a while ago, probably throughout the mid 1990s in my youth. I liked a brand called "Sampoerna X-tra" which was discontinued in both export (and I believe, production) about eight or so years ago.

They made all other cloves taste like scrap cardboard flavored with clove oil. The sugar-coated filters are standard on all clove cigarettes, and these were no exception. They crackled and popped somethin' fierce when smoked, too.

Those were the days.

I remember back in the 70's trying some clove cigarettes. Strange to say the least if you ask me. They were short and fat and sometimes a clove would poke through the rolling paper. I can't remember the name of them but, I can't remember what I want to forget nowadays either.

I smoked a few of the regular djarum cigarettes when I was like 16. Then got some of the "to little cigars" when I came of age.
they're alright but after a few days of smoking them like cigarettes I was coughing and hacking up more than I did when I smoked cigarettes regularly.
I prefer not to inhale anything now and will smoke a cigarette only very occasionally ..
I don't think ill be buying another pack any time soon.
