...judging from the description, the seller did an awesome job writing it up--it was probably in good shape if her husband was as meticulous with his pipes as she is with her sales.

...so a question... is that a "bent, rusticated poker," or what? I love the style, hell, everything about that pipe, just curious about the nomenclature of its design.

Hey Kyle,

My best guess is that it's a rusticate, bent poker. I saw it and pulled the trigger on it, didn't even hesitate. I just also bought another Longchamp - I love those old pipes.

It's a straight bulldog and will need somework, but I'm cool with that. It's about time I get my buffer up and running again. The Longchamps I have now, smoke excellent, and as good as my most expensive pipe, a 1970s Ben Wade. Plus, my grandfather was a German prisoner of war in France, and got the pipe I have now, somewhere shortly after the war. So, it has a special place in my collection. I'm working on collecting all the Longchamps I can get my hand on.

Nice. I would have pulled the trigger on that poker, too! I have yet to get one, two attempts have failed. *laughs*

That leather bulldog looks just like my Noymer I posted recently, they do clean up nice. My stem is now brilliantly shiny and the carnauba wax actually fixes up the leather pretty nicely, too!

Post pictures when you get it fixed up...

I also bought pipes from that seller on etsy. She is a kind lady and she has many more pipes than what she has listed on that site that she is willing to sell last I checked.
