Dunhill 251

could someone tell me about the Dunhill shell 251 from the 50s.
I just got myself one but it hasn't arrived yet.
did I make a good purchase?
I would like to have an opinion of the fans of the white spot.

Tship, your DH shell 251 is an early '50's patent; I can't make out the exact date code. My 251's are excellent smokers; I have shell and bruyere. Also, the stem on your pipe is upside down!!! The white spot always goes on top!! Welcome to our group. FTRPLT

yes the stitch is upside down, but these are photos from the seller, it will arrive home soon.
it's a pipe from his grandfather.
I can't wait to test it.

my little grandmother arrived safely.
Dunhill 251 from the 1950s.
it is very well preserved considering its age.
good little cleaning and at work grandma.
