Perhaps I'm overly paranoid, but when I tried to log into my eBay page, it went to a page that said there had been increased "bad" activity and wanted to verify my account. It asked for name, SS# Credit card # PIN # etc.

This didn't come from an email, but rather after I went to my home eBay site. I've also run a couple of malware and spy search programs and nothing's coming up.

Has this happened to any of you?

Nope, I just checked and it went straight to My Ebay. I had logged in earlier today so it bypassed the login completely.

I signed out and then signed in again and it did take me to some Ebay advertising that I don't normally get directed to but one click on go to My ebay and it took me straight there.

Sounds like some kind of malware or something at work, I wouldn't give anything until you check it out.

Ebay advises don't give out any info unless requested by email to the address you use associated with your ebay acct: I agree with Hunter5117.

I tried to log into ebay earlier today and was unable to get in...it looked as if the site was temporarilly down.

I sure as hell wouldn't give out that info if i were you.

Found the problem. I had to re-submit my password, and all works well. I'm thinking it was an eBay notice that was caused by a change in my home page and it probably didn't recognize it, causing it to ask for verification. Once I re-typed my password I got in just fine.
