Escudo noob

Escudo I can just stuff and smoke. LBF I leave a couple of coins out overnight then crumble into the bowl. I accidentally left a few out over a weekend and it was good.... Haven't tried any other coins yet... Wait, no, I was sampled another kind, smallish coins, but I can't remember the name. Something with a Kentucky center. My mouth said thank you, but no...........

I like Escudo a lot.

But I have recently read that, like for Three Nuns, Périque is not used anymore, but rather some DFK.

If this is true, then can we not anticipate the same will happen; or is happening; or has already happened to Dunhill's Navy Rolls?

Any thoughts on this? This could actually not be so foolish as Saint-James Parish Périque is less and less available, and replaced with Acadian Périque (wherever it comes from).
