This in spades.Richard Burley":s5x5w4xs said:I can only suggest getting what I think is called a cognitive therapist, one who identifies the thinking and ideas you hold about the world and yourself and relates those to your emotions, good or bad. Otherwise you'll just get a bag of drugs to take and a complete lack of understanding of your malady.
It's a scary place to be, I myself suffer with depression amongst other 'problems', I know how impossible and distressing things can feel at times, it's not a path to even try walking alone Buddy, please please try to get some help before the depression gets so dark you can't even get outside.LordTemplar":tkzahiq6 said:I am falling apart from Manic Depression.
Lots of truth in that. It's funny how emotional/mental health issue are among the hardest to speak candidly about, yet so many people deal with it the support base is massive. I had significant anxiety issues for a period of time about five years back - I found that once I was comfortable enough to talk about about it openly, it really is shocking how many people have been through/are going through the exact same thing.SpeedyPete":ly5r26r7 said:I think we will be amazed to know just how many people in our close circle suffers from depression.
I couldn't afford a therapist but a great wife and a wonderful little dog made life worth living. The meds really did the job.PozzSka":lyyzyf5e said:I have some family members with the same and similar diagnoses.
Get help. See a therapist, get medicine. It's a chemical imbalance.
There is no shame in getting help.
