Thanks for all the suggestions. Between the links posted here at BoB and my running down carver's names on the Internet, I've got 52 sites bookmarked. (I'll add my additional links.) This discussion has been very helpful to someone new to collecting (although not to smoking). I'm continuing to study the differences between the makers to identify what really appeals to me. Fortunately, my local B & M, Smokers' Haven, carries a lot of the higher end carvers so I can also examine their work in person--which I do on a weekly basis. Plus, I'm really looking forward to the NASPC show in August. Thanks again for the suggestions.
