I too started the New Year with my gourd calabash. Since the gourds with meerschaum caps only need to cool between sessions and not rest like a briar, I plan on firing up some C&D Stratfordshire in the gourd later tonight. Didn't think once of 2020, not really thinking about what lays ahead either, just enjoying the moment!!
Wish a had a gourd to smoke. But my first smoke of the year was Country Squire Rivendell in a Peterson 999

Mother Nature has precluded me from a "first smoke of the new year!!" I have plenty of options; just no comfortable opportunity/s!!!
