Harlock,

Martin!
Good to see ya!
Yes sir, it is Der Kaiser in his glory days. Cool that you got to meet him! The only sports legend I've ever met was Eddy Merckx.
Hmm...I think I have a new idea for my next avatar...

Merckx is legend enough for any meeting. Of course, the average American would have no idea who he was, but I, for one, would be in awe!

Totally!
I was a kid, and a huge cycling fan, and Merckx was the man. I got his autograph twice that day. Still have 'em...

Anybody remember these two? Jacques Anquetil and Raymond Poulidor? My family went to France in '63 to visit family and I met Jacques during a stage in the Tour we watched. (Anquetil is on the right for those who don't know him :p )

Man, I had both Beckenbauer and Rummenigge's autograph and lost them both as a kid!!!! What an idiot I am. :) Seriously, to this day I still kick myself for my stupidity. We met them both when my school in Germany went to Koeln to visit the Natural History Museum. They were out shopping with their wifes at the time.

i thought that's what was the common practice around here :p Start with one topic, then just add whatever one wants two days later :p

Especially among us older puffers, our train of thought often runs off the track.

Natch

Yummy!

Vive la France!
