My father has been in the hospital all week and today, he headed to a nursing home, so it's been a tough week for everyone.  I worked off some nervous energy this morning, and restored this GBD Virgin Lovat (Shape 9457).  It didn't take much work, but it felt good to focus on something mechanical for an hour or so.

Al, as always....superb restoration. :king::cheers:

I wish your Dad a speedy recovery and tonight he will be in my Prayers. It's also very trying times and difficult on all family members. Best wishes to you and your family.

GET BETTER SOON

Thanks @ Lone!

Someone else questioned the shape name and suggested Lumberman. It's actually neither a Canadian or a Lumberman, but rather a Lovat!

Sorry to hear of your dad's troubles, Al. Thinking of you and yours.

Great looking Lovat, too - one of my favourite shapes!

Sorry to hear about your dad, very tough situation for a person and family to go through. Visit him often and try to keep his spirits up and his mind active.

Great classic pipe. The lovat is a wonderfully practical and efficient shape with its straight shank and abbreviated saddle stem. They just smoke brilliantly. I have several and they are outstanding, and quite under appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your dad Al, went through this with my MIL, never easy on the entire family hope things go well.

Your pipe is lovely and GBD is one of those companies that don’t get quite the attention of many pipesters but those that seek, and own, them know they are a great value.

As always another great job on a very desirable pipe. Great work Al! :)
