Over the past 18 months I've had my share of challenges. Major brain surgery, prostate cancer and most recently I snapped my right kneecap in half. I would happily go through it all again to avoid today. Today we had to put our Lab/Pointer mix, Tasha to sleep. Tasha bought us over 15 years of joy and will be sorely missed. Saturday night she seemed to have a stroke. We made her comfortable and she seemed her happy self to the end, but couldn't get up and walk anymore. I know now she's in a better place and will be waiting for us when we get there some day.

Condolences, Bob.

You can just never get used to having a four-legged family member put down.  This is an awfully pet-friendly group, so I'm sure you'll find plenty of empathy from the folks here - you've certainly got mine...and good luck with your own medical situation(s) as well!!!!

Tasha owns a piece of your heart...and she will always occupy that place.  You gave her what she needed all those years and she you.  What more could you ask for.... except a few more years.

We all grieve with you.

My best to you and your family. It's always rough losing a friend/companion. My bud is 11 and I know his day is coming in the next few/several years.

Sorry to hear about this; it's always sad when one has to let go like that

Nothing really can be said when an old friend dies. My condolences are small in comparison to your loss.

My heart goes out to you Bob. Take what comfort you can in knowing that you provided her with a loving home and a chance to do what dogs do best, love their people.
Be well,
Mike.

Sorry about your loss. Our beloved animal companions are with us all too briefly.

Sorry about your loss brother. May you emotional scars heal quickly.

Extremely sorry for your loss. It hurts so much to lose a pet, especially one that has been with you for so long.

You have our thoughts and condolences, Bob

Bob, you have my deepest sympathy. May the good Lord bless and keep her spirit and may He send you and your family comfort.

I am so very, very sorry for the loss of your dear friend. May you both be together again some day.

So sorry to hear this brother! It's never easy to lose one of your furry children. May you find comfort. Best of luck with your medical issues too.

Jim
