I was in Mombasa back in the 80's. But we were only there for 3 days. I was on a working cruise courtesy of the US Government.

Mombasa is so hot, ha. Beautiful, but hot.

I remember they had the worst beer on the planet. Tusker I think it was called. It's even worse than Peroni, which is saying something.

Tusker is terrible, yes. Tusker Malt is bearable. I'm proud to say that there are a few independent breweries that make what I call "craft beer." It's very good, but not available in stores.

I imagine they are pretty recent. I was there in the 80's before craft beers really got going. Tusker should be sold with a bottle of aspirin included.

Cool pics. Looking at the buffalo pic, I have to ask: were you armed or did you have armed backup? In other words, in the event of slight disagreement or bad mood, what was plan B?
