It's just a shoelace bow! But... flat. (I wear bow ties to work almost every day.)
I know that, and you know that, but for some reason people think it must be incredibly complicated. Plus, lining everything up properly and getting the part over the middle smooth is a little complicated. I rarely get it looking good on the first try (I only wear one a couple times a month, though).

For me, it’ll mainly be the good pipes and tobacco.

In the not-so-far future: a new(!) Old Boy pipe lighter with a natural briar casing.

Maybe some time in the future: a little home cinema with a good video projector and speakers.

A picture (or two) speaks a thousand words:
One of these:

In the new Black Denim
And one of these:

Bond Arms- In the 357/38.
That's about it.

A custom split cane 5wt. fly rod...with a Hardy St. George reel.

After reading all the posts on this though I think Ken has the best suggestion.

There is no good or bad as long as its what you yourself are content with.
Yep!! This is all oabout the toys and gadgets we like, and to see if there's a theme among us. As we're all pipesmokers I was just curious if we liked other guy stuff collectively besides pipes.

Hermit said it more bluntly than most would have, but said it succinctly

Great thread P, a very fine line between "Needs" and "Wants". I didn't need a Ming Kahuna Tamper but I surely wanted one.....

Not complex, I just know what I like. :D
A wiser person once said, if you don't spoil yourself every now and then, who will?

Everything listed above (especially a tranquil heart, that's worth more than anything ultimately).

So far, I have several good pipes, and a modest but nice cellar, a couple Old Boys (worth every penny), a great guitar (some in the guitar world complain about Gibson's QC, but mine is awesome.. I do have a couple Martins on my wish-list though..), and a fairly tranquil heart (much work needed, but much less than many at my age).

Now I just have to get out of the rut I'm in (work, hang out, come home), and get into a good college! I have more than enough supportive people in my life when it comes to this, I just got myself stuck in a rut (thankfully, it's not an impossible one to get out of).

Cheers!

Why are people always down on tequila? I think its because most peoples' memories of tequila involve throwing up cheap, bottom-shelf junk after a hard night. Tequila doesn't have the marketing muscle of bourbon, scotch, or vodka, but there are some fantastic, very tasty, and nuanced tequilas out there. A lot of them are imported to the U.S. in only very limited quantities. And, because it doesn't have the cachet of other liquors, high-quality bottles are often much cheaper! It takes just as much skill for a distiller to make high quality tequila as any other liquor.

I did say Ultra high grade tequilla. Not "bottom-shelf junk"..........
I could have not mentioned it at all and left it up to you. :p

I know, I know. It's just that I really like great tequila and when I mention this, most people think that I'm crazy because they don't know that good tequila even exists. :x And that's my point, tequila is the only liquor that you had to qualify at all; with the others, we assume that we're talking high grade spirits. I continue my quest to educate the world about good tequila! Or maybe I should just stay quiet, that way nobody else will know and it will stay cheap for me! :D

well, having experienced a re prioritization (and not to put a damper on the party) I'll go with:

An abiding faith in God
A good marriage
Children who learned at least some of the lessons I tried to teach them (and the important ones)
Grandchildren who would rather go to Papa's house than anywhere else

I find my pipes and tobacco, fly fishing gear, etc to simply be accouterments that add to the enjoyment of life. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of things I would like to have; they simply aren't the priorities that they once were. As long as I can wake up in the morning and like what I see in the mirror as I shave, life is good.

Pete

I guess it depends on your age and stage in life.

I have everything I need.

I have nearly everything I want. My wants are relatively modest.

I would like to have a seven-day pipe set completed by Sasquatch, I guess that's top on my list (unless inflation hits ;) ).

I'm wearing suits 3 or four times a week. I prefer to stay in my pj's all day long, 7 days a week. When we got our grandson a doggie, I now have to dress everyday and many neighbours shared that it was good to see me get dressed more often. Heck, I don't even like to shower.

Hate wearing a watch... after chasing in the "rat race" for years, it's nice just to forget about time.

And I'm learning through observation of family and friends and the work I do, that if you don't have your health... well, then, what does it matter...
