Headed to Kansas for a week of bird hunting

Going to north central Kansas to hunt pheasants and quail. I've never hunted pheasant, so I'm excited about that. My only concern is getting too cold as I'm a very thin blooded Southerner. I'm packing lots of down and wool.

Having spent the better part of her childhood in South Dakota, there is a very special place in my wife's heart for pheasants. Unfortunately not much opportunity for me to hunt them around here, so she has to make do with ruffed and blue grouse instead. Good but not the same, she informs me.
