Hello, my name is Dan and I am a beginner pipe smoker. I got my pipe a few months ago and really enjoy it. To me it beats cigars but then I've never had anything special. I have only tried one kind of tobacco so far from a local pipe shop. It was ok but I didn't realize it was peach flavored! Oops. Well I just ordered some different tobaccos online and I can't wait to try them, call me cheesy but when I saw Dan Tobacco I just knew I had to try to so I ordered some devils holiday and blue note and another brand of Virginia flake that was in the top ten. I figured you cant go wrong if it's in the top ten. If anyone has any suggestions for me I would love to hear them. Since I am new to the whole thing I am looking for a tobacco that is kind of strong but smooth and I hope I am using the term correctly but without a lot of "bite".

Welcome aboard Dan!! Since you are an ex cigar smoker than one suggestion might be Habana Daydream by Cornell & Diehl. It has a bit of cigar tobacco in it. Also their Old Joe Krantz is a good one also. It has a good kick of Perique that you may like.
