Hi everyone,
I began smoking pipes really, about twelve years ago. I find it one of the best things I do. I smoked cigs for about fifty years. I smoked cigars until they became too expensive. A year ago they told me I had emphysema. I REALLY took up the pipe. I love it. it gives me all the things I need. I smoke mainly english blends and virginia. (penzanze, number 27, Artisans blend. Mick McQuaid and erinmore balkan, etc) I find pipesmokers are some of the best people you will ever know (okay, stalin out) I thank you for allowing me to join

I remember years ago when I arrived in town it was snowing hard. After greeting the new relatives , I asked where they sold tobacco. It was a bit of a walk but I walked to Montes. larry was sweeping the floor and smoking a pipe. I went in and later left with two pioneer calabashes and many tins of tobacco. (I remember he sold sullavan and powells mixture. I first bought that at disneyland in california) He had a great selection of pipe tobaccos. As you know Larry passed on and his son now runs the shoppe. At sixty three, I find myself missing those days. Thank you guys for the welcome.
