Greetings from Chicago!

I want to start off with a thank you...so, thank you all! I've been lurking for about a month and must say that I've learned more about tobacco and pipe smoking in that time than in all my previous 38 years.

I live in Chicago and have for about 15 years. I love english blends and latakia and am just getting into perique and Virginias. I've got something of a passion for the long shanks of the canadian or liverpool variety...so anyway, thank you all again, and I hope to become an active participant on this board.

Welcome Aboard Danny!! You might as well start making the switch to Virginia/Perique blends now as that seems to be a natural progression in pipe smoking , well at least to me it does. I was formerly a Latakia FREAK but can't stand the Devil's Weed anymore. Just mosey on over to pipesandcigars.com and order up some of Russ Ouilette's Home & Hearth Delicious Va/Per blends.
Anniversary Kake, Rolando's Own, AJsVaPer and Louisiana Red are all must tries. Do it now and report back!! WELL I'M WAITING!!
