I made a new friend yesterday.

The friendship ended badly.

We were getting along wonderfully
and then in a half of a blink of the eye
he hit me like a rattlesnake.
Ten days on antibiotics.

Nice. Looks like you made a friend for life. Personally, I won't trust an animal until it tries to attack me at least once.

Did he put out his cigarette on your hand?

The cat was probably feral...it's hard to blame an animal for acting exactly like what they are, animals, especially wild ones...not always a good idea to try and handle strays...I got the web of my hand mauled by a kitten many years ago when I was a firefighter...it was caught in a drain pipe and screaming and it would have died if we hadn't been able to get it out...I tried to reach in with my gloved hands but couldn't get in due to the bulk of the glove, so I said "the hell with it" and reached in with my bare hands and got it and got it out...it was feral and frightened out of it's mind and bit through the web if my hand similar to your wound...fortunately we were able to get it to a vet to be tested so I avoided rabies shots...hope your hand heals quickly...

That cats name is Jack Bauer, for an encore it shot the neighbor in the kneecap to get the information where the cat food was!

Never trust a black cat. Forget superstitions, I've never met one that didn't have a heart of evil! I even own one that tries to kill my other grey cat on a daily basis. You can read his evil plotting thoughts right on his face.

Exactly. That is whay I meant by not trusting an animal unless it tries to attack you. Even the most docile of family pets is still an animal with instincts, and is always going to be unpredictable to some degree. Unless you know and are familiar with the animal's "boundaries" then it is all too easy to forget that you can't predict with any certainty what that animal may or may not do...even a liddle kiddywiddy.

Little stinkers are cute,,,,,OH, and the baby black and whites are adorable too,,,, :lol!:

We had a pet skunk growing up. Descented, of course. It played with our collie all the time in the yard and never ran off when we were around. It got out of its cage one day and we never saw him again.

Great pic of the baby skunks!
