Hi from VA

Hey everyone, I'm almost completely green to the world of smoking although not new to the idea of smelling things burning bwahahaha.

My dad smoked but never around us kids so I don't have sentimental attachments to it like so many but over the last few years I found myself enjoying the smokey atmospheres of bars and being around other people smoking. I will pick up a cigarette occasionally (especially when inebriated) but over the last year I started settling into having a Swisher Sweet outside on the porch on a nice evening and I'm hooked on how relaxing it is.

I'm sure there are countless better things to enjoy then really cheap cigars so in an interest to be more connected to a craft (I much prefer to work with my hands and make something more unique) I started looking into rolling my own cigarettes which led me down the path to finding an interest in pipes. I never imagined such a diverse community existed around this and I am beyond excited to try it for myself!

So at the moment I'm just looking around and gathering as much information and education as I can so I can be off to a good start--bear in mind I really didn't know how to use a lighter up until about a year ago--and I look forward to this new hobby! If anyone has any tips or advice to someone who is so new to any and all of this please shoot me a message, I'm a sponge waiting for knowledge! Thanks everyone!
