Is that a picture of the finished basement? Huge room to set up your smoking lounge

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Yes. The wife wanted to make it a family room. I'm calling it the "adult lounge" for the time being. The garage is more of a workshop setup, and is connected to the finished basement. All else down is utility and a laundry room.

Cleared to close! Just signed the pre closing documents now. The interest is 3.75% and the monthly is less than 1300$. Looking good to me.

CONGRATULATIONS
Also, good rate on the mortgage. That's why it's important to have a good credit score, real good on your part. Something too be very proud of!!
Wish you and your family many HAPPY years together in your new home.

Outstanding annual % rate Jev. Good on you and full speed ahead!

The closing numbers are better than I had hoped for. The monthly is a bit over a hundred more than I'm paying for rent now.

That's real good news. Plus now you have another right off on next years taxes. Win, win situation

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Figured since your a trucker you should move everything yourself. Especially after seeing this mayhem.

The clutch can be tricky lol. I'm taking three days off, two for moving boxes and small furniture myself in our cars. Then I have my brothers for the big stuff and a truck coming. I hate moving though, I did it for awhile when I was 19, terrible job. Good exercise though

Smart move, do most yourself so everything arrives in one piece.
Hope it works out well for you, just go slow and heck....that's what family is for, so I'm told...lol.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Good luck today, I totally understand what your going through now but soon you will find it well worth all the effort you put into your new home.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

We're in! Living in boxes still. Little by little it's coming into a semblance of a home. Got the wifi working today for my gadgets, so I'm back. I've been to Home Depot every day since the closing. Electrician is here tomorrow for the upgrades. Man cave is a wreck of boxes with a nice chair in the middle lol. Smoking a pipe in peace right now. This all seems more worth it when I'm down here.

It's almost over, the blood, sweat & tears was worth it. Once your settled in post some pictures. GOOD LUCK & BE HAPPY

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

You're IN! Congrats!

That's the important thing, and all the rest can be sorted out in time. Don't rush it and above all don't stress! The hard part is over with, now start the enjoyment part of it. Hope you'll be happy there for many, many years Jev!

:rabbit:

And please do post pics when you have time.  ;)

Cheers,

RR

I'm trying not to stress over here. Honestly, the house was well cared for. It's just a million little things. A lot of them have to do with child proofing, these folks were in their 80's. The list gets longer the more things I cross off it lately. I'm sure it'll slow down soon enough though. Not much time to relax the last week.

Next month at this time you will be sitting outside with your favorite blend with a smile from ear to ear. Looking back on what you and your wife accomplished. You can only achieve a certain amount in a day, don't stress and sweat the small stuff. Seems everything is coming together for ya'll.
Hey, try moving to Europe for a few years and shipping a 30' container both ways. You want to talk about stress!! But I was much younger back in '87.... I was 35 at the time. Now I have trouble moving from room to room...lmao!

A dozen lucky balloons...????????????

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

I'm about three weeks behind you in the process - glad you're in and getting situated...right now that feels like a pipe dream!!!
