Just wondering if I am doing something wrong with too many open or smoking on at one time. I keep them either in the tin with lid on if just a little left or I put most in a mason jag while smoking what's in the tin.

Dang I am having a hard time just asking this, LOL!

Do any of you just smoke one or two kinds at a time? Seems I can get a bunch working.

Thats what I do. I have 8 or 9 little jars upstairs. I like a variety :D

A dozen or more :D . Variety, spice of life, yadda yadda yadda. I'll pack the entire tin in a mason jar, which is working nicely for me.

Ten or twelve various blends,,,,I pop the tin and empty into pint or half pint wide mouth mason jars,,,a little something for every mood,,,,

Thanks and good! I am glad to see I am not alone with a buch of working tobaccos. I was starting to think maybe I shouldn't open so many at a time, but darn I want to try every new one too, LOL!

Going to open a few more tonight and tomorrow and opened 2 more today.

I should really go get some mason jars, but I usually have 4-5 tins open, which I just put in zip lock bags.

Yes and not just cheap they hold the moisture much better than zip lock or the tins. If I leave any in a tin it's not much and I had some I was trying to finish (too strong) and I put what little I had left in a zip lock and boy that stuff turned into very dry tobacco. Much too dry!

Can't beat the jars as you can even seal them a lot of ways if need be.

Dude, it was a tin that I had ordered more than a year ago along with some FMATP. Mandy had packed it away for some obscure reason and it only resurfaced a few months ago when she was spring cleaning. I'll send you some to try (Payback at last). I'm really loving it. The Lat is there but not overpowering at all, a really nice flavorful blend.

Not to worry brother, I have some in cellar, just a little young to be popping the lid.
Thanks for the gesture!!!

Ziplocs suck, but Mason jars don't look the greatest. I keep a few airtight jars that are like the kind fragrant womens' candles or whatever come in. Sounds sissy? Like I care. One jar, pretty nice, had specialty cashews in it. The jars are like decor almost, and they go along with my glass knickknack collection as well as my collection of ashtrays.
Anyways, I keep my selection simple: a canister of PA, my bourbon-laden PA, a bulk proper English blend, and CH.

I drink iced tea from my Mason jars.

okay greenleaf, this is going to require a picture. i'm a sucker for a collection.

I currently have 10 open tins going:

Frog Morton
Margate
Escudo
Old Dublin
Pelican
Embarcadero
Bow Legged Bear
Bald Headed Teacher
Chelsea Morning
St. James Woods

I have a few more sealed tins, that I won't open until I finish some of these those. I don't want them to dry up and I don't have any mason jars.

My goal is to find a few that I really enjoy and keep a steady rotation of those. So far (Frog and Margate have made the cut). BHT, Pelican and Escudo are on the fence.

Well my mason jars use to be for my making of salsa and stuff like that with the crown jewel was pear preserves which were just awesome and then I got the darn diabetes and no more pear preserves for me so no make them. Other than that is pickled Jalapenos.

So plenty jars to use still in the box and I keep the one with tobacco in them in a cabinet or chest of drawers. Not in view unless I am in one, LOL!

Eleven it is, and I still have to fight the daily urge to open something different. I like to have a variety open and ready to suit any mood/time of day.

Boswell's Berry Cobbler
Boswell's Northwoods
Chelsea Morning
Early Morning Pipe
Haddo's Delight
Key Largo
Marlin Flake
Pembroke
Quiet Nights
Reiner Long Golden Flake
Ten Russians

I'm sorry, but I cannot resist opening a tin of a new tobacco blend when I receive it. Presently I'm smoking from open tins: Orlik Golden Flake, McClelland Wilderness, Nocturne and Three Oaks Syrian along with my standby tin of go to Balkan Sasieni. I tend to smoke out the tin before there is ever a dry out problem. I keep my bulk tobaccos in mason jars and plastic sealed glass lid jars from Walmart.
