Actually I'm not from Okinawa, I'm just stationed here for a few years. Originally from the panhandle of Nebraska, I've got a variety of Missouri Meerschaum pipes that I enjoy smoking now and then, as well as a couple of pipes from Europe that I acquired on a deployment a couple of years ago. One of my favorites being a Jobey I purchased from Plymouth, England.

I've actually only stuck to Boswell's blended tobaccos as they were highly recommended on another website I frequent but I'm looking to expand. Firearms aren't available to me here in Japan so I'm re-igniting my other passion, pipes.

Pleasure to be here, yall take care!

Hope you stick around and ask a lot of questions. There's a lot to learn about the pipe, how to smoke it and what tobaccos you most enjoy. It's a whole world! See you there!

Hey thanks guys! Didn't get much time to explore the site after posting that, had to go escape the gates of the base for a while. Looking forward to reading and learning & shootin the breeze 8)

Hey SWR hope you have a great time with the BoB. I went to sea survival school there in 69. MIKE

Welcome to BoB Salty.....nice selection of cobs you have there.

Welcome to your online pipe home!

We're glad to have you. Cold chicken's in the fridge, and the smoking room, complete with overstuffed leather chairs and a huge library is on the right. Sit down and make yourself comfy.

Welcome!
I spent some time in Oki too. Was stationed at Camp Shields the Seabee base right across the road from Kadena AFB.

One really nice thing about Camp Shields is the BBQ restaurant on the base. It may be a new addition since you've been there, but their BBQ is as close to home as we can get for Northern Florida cooking.

Now the hog farm from across the base, that was a sour revelation when we were looking at base housing...

Welcome from the other end of the Pacific Ring of Fire
