Throughout the day, my cats and all the ferals except for the still absent Abner the Eager have eaten quite a bit of food. As cold as it is, I suspect they want a little extra food cushion.

I've been staring at the wall trying to figure out how to store/display my tobacco and pipes while I'm in this shipping container waiting for the house to be built.
I think version 297.6 will work. I'll be shopping for wood tomorrow.
For now I'll find another smoke and start looking for a pipe.

Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2014 Sam Gawith Best Brown Flake in a straight smooth brown 1933-1945 Comoy’s patent Grand Slam 159 *4 apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Then, I smoked a bowl of aged Rattrays Hal O’ The Wynd in a straight smooth brown pre-WWII (Comoy’s) Corinthian De-Luxe 126 pot made for Sutliff in San Francisco with a black tapered vulcanite stem.

Currently, I've passed the last third of this bowl of Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a straight smooth brown undated Gesandt Canadian Made in England with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe was originally owned by Poul Schluter, who was the Prime Minister of Denmark from 1982-1993. Been busy with various things, including a long chat with a friend. The ferals have full bellies more or less. Still haven't seen Abner the Eager, and with snow and sleet coming later today, I doubt I'll see him until the bad weather passes.

Half way through this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Deciding on whether or not to chance a set of walking reps before the snow hits.

It has that look, the reason I bought it, but it is a new tamper. 8Deco makes them and they are purpose-built, they are not made from previous fountain pen barrels and caps. It's just a style they produce.

Replaced a mortice and tenon on my Tomato meer. For some reason they break really easily now, I suspect they are making the mortices using a 3-d printer and the material is just garbage. Turning the stem in the shank is enough to stretch them and then a break is only a few cleanings away. The tenons are far more durable. Anyway, I'm going to have a bowl of CH in my MMBB with my now-cold coffee.

Had to do a rooster culling this morning. Too many for the number of hens due to a cockup last fall with the hatchery. They're beating up my girls so they have to go. Never fun.
I just put forty eight eggs into the incubator for a friend. I'll do another forty eight tomorrow.
I'm swimming in eggs. I washed and boxed forty eight dozen yesterday. I'll be selling them on the side of the road until the my regular market opens up. Opens up lots of pipe time.
