What i intended to be a lazy day, snuggled up in front of the fire place watching TV, has turned out to be an interrupted one, with my sister and her husband, picking today to pay me a visit.
Consequently my plans, and more importantly my pipe, all got put on hold.
But now they have left, I'm about to fill another Pete, also from their Evening Series, with some well deserved Hobbit Weed.

Enjoying a Pete SH Strand with MB 7 seas regular blend,Mug of DD coffee. I had an easy day at work,which was a blessing because my back was not happy with the snow. It`s still cold out there,with snow flurries,but at least the wind has died down. It will be nap time soon!

Breaking in a barely smoked Tinder Box Unique that will be a dedicated Dark Plug pipe because of its thick walls (relights lol) I have to ramp the draught hole in the mortise because it's all the way in the top and doesn't pass a cleaner. Smoking better now that I shortened the tenon as it was butting up into the wood inside the mortise. Sometimes these things need tweaking to make a machine!

Update: 5 minutes with a needle file and she passed the cleaner.
