If you could only have 3 pipes, how would you dedicate them?

I would do the same as the OP. One for Va's which would get smoked the most, one for aromatics, and one for latakia blends which would get smoked the least. I considered doing away with the latakia pipe altogether and dedicating two to Va's but wouldn't want to miss out on that occasional craving for a good English blend. I don't smoke a lot of aromatics but I do get the craving for Reiner's Professional about once a week and would need a pipe that I could smoke that would be pleasing in public.

1. Peterson Sherlock Holmes Original Rustic for aromatics.
2. Peterson Shannon Billiard for English blends.
3. GBD Churchwarden for English Flake.

Well, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who would dedicate one of their 3 to an aromatic. At times I feel like I'm just really enjoying the non aro's and a couple of days go by without loading a single bowl of the sweet stuff and then when I get around to it I get that, "WOW! That tastes soooo good. Why haven't I"

So, my question for all of those of you that didn't list an aromatic as one that you would dedicate a pipe to is, if you were going to smoke a bowl of a sweet aromatic which one would it be? I guess the real question I'm asking is, which style of tobacco do you think would be the least affected by the tainting of the sweet gooey mess that can come from an aro?

That question didn't make a lot of sense to me, sorry, TD.

Tobacco? Affecting what? Who? Tainting? The pipe? What?

Sorry if my question didn't make a lot of sense to you Kyle. I read over it a couple of times and I'm not sure why but I'll try and answer your ?'s about mine.

Tobacco? You listed your 3 types of tobacco's "lat's, mild VA's, and strong fired VA's"

Affecting what? Ghosting affect of the non dedicated pipe.

Who? Those of you that didn't list an aro style of tobacco to dedicate to one of your 3 pipes.

Tainting? I think it's a great word to describe what might happen if you took a pipe that was only used for VA's for years on end and then you smoked some highly cased aro in it.

The pipe? The one that has been dedicated to a specific type of tobacco other than an aro, and you just "tainted" it by smoking an aro in said dedicated pipe.

What? I think I tried to ask you this question earlier in this thread but you didn't play along. Lets say you live in this cruel world where you could only have 3 pipes. You've been here for years and your 3 pipes have been dedicated to the 3 that you listed, "lat's, mild VA's, and strong fired VA's" then I came along and forced you to smoke a great big bowl of Boswell's Christmas Cookie. Which pipe would you "taint" with the Christmas Cookie? :D
