Cats don't eat sauerkraut.

One wonders how much Federal grant money was spent to figure that out.

None, Ozzie. It's the result of privately funded experiments here at the VitoSpace Research Laboratories...which consisted of me putting some 'kraut on a dish and offering it to my cat. He sniffed it, then walked away.

Admittedly, it's not good empirical procedure to generalize from a single observation, but in this case, I think the risk is low. ;)

Rande, I put the idea past my cat and she hacked up a fur ball on the phone.

Perhaps that's two votes against?

So then, if a blind man in a dark room is looking for a sauerkraut-eating black cat that isn't there--and finds it--all hell breaks loose? I'm trying to make logical inferences from your post while sipping bourbon.

My old cat Stash liked it on a Rueben sandwich ! I'd bring home a Rueben from the local deli and he'd bug me till I gave him a bite or two all with krout and cheese!! he also liked Lasagna  He was a good cat and i had him for just over 21 years !

I think I see the flaw in your procedure.
