I smoked a pipe for many years, starting in the early 60s, but stopped a few years ago. My grandson expressed an interest the other day so I dug out a pipe and a few samples of we,l aged tobacco for him. That got me started thinking about picking it up again, after all I probab.y have enough tobacco to last the rest of my life.

Hmmm. Sayin’ you have enough for the rest of your life? Hoping you have a whole room full and not just a tin. Welcome aboard.
Ha that reminds me of the day a friend came out of the doctor's office with a look of terror on his face, I asked what was wrong and he told me "the doc said I have to take a pill every day for the rest of my life". I told him that's no big deal, a lot people take pills every day. He looked up and said "yay but he only gave me four pills"

That sounds like me, but I didn't smoke a pipe for about 35 years. Cigs got me for convenience reasons. Got back into pipes about three years ago and have enjoyed them immensely ever since.
