Is it weird?

Good Day Folks!

New guy here, I have only had the pleasure, of trying one "drug store" baccy in a drug store corn cob pipe. Reading through through the forums, I was reading about the dreaded tongue-bite. Is it weird, that I actually enjoy that tongue-bite? I mean, I would not what to experience it all the time, but once in awhile, I find it kind of enjoyable.

Well, you might give MacBaren Virginia No. 1 a go then. It is "das bitemaker". That stuff is like smoking dried jalapeños while sipping battery acid- only harsher. :lol:

Nothing weird about that. If it's a Burley bite well then, yes it can be enjoyable.

Once in a while, I admit, a little tongue bite isn't too bad. I don't really enjoy it, but doesn't really bother me either. Also depends upon the speed in which you puff. Some mild blends can be made to bite if attacked too hard.

Not weird at all.

As a faithful smoker of the venerable Jackknife Plug from Mr. Pease, there's a bit of a peppery nature on that one that I've temped a bit of fate from in the "bite department," and it can be quite enjoyable. Kind of like seeing if an unruly cat will swat your hand with claws if you offer it, or if you can pull away your digits intact. A dangerous game. :lol:
