I always admired the look of the autographs but every one I ever handled seemed heavy.

They do tend to be that way, for sure. Weight is the first thing I check when I see a pipe I like. I've got one Autograph: I liked it enough to overcome its weight, but it's the only one so far, and I don't smoke it often. Too heavy.

I admit it's a bit heavy, but I love the Italian style, it's more to be enjoyed in a rocking chair in front of the fireplace accompanied by a rum from Barbados.

That's more my speed, yeah. I'm a clencher, and my teeth appreciate me more when I give them a fairly light pipe to hold on to.
