In the 80's I was driving through NYC to be best man at my wife's brother wedding in Red Bank, New Jersey. Ever get caught in the Jersey Turnpike traffic as people headed out of the city ? ... ground to halt.

In the 1990's, we were driving to Nova Scotia... dip across the border to drive through northern NY state, New Hamshire, Vermont, and up through Maine... slow trip... kept running into parades
