Welcome to BoB Fred, how do you rate your Blatter pipe as a smoker. Got my eye on one currently.

Thanks

Tim
No worried about Blatter pipe.Never seen any issues. Always good smoking pipe.
Is it a Select grade ?

I don't think it'd be a Select grade for the price charged, how would I tell if it was? Thanks for the feedback Fred.

Cheers

If I may, Tim, even though I am not Fred...
Blatter's Sélect pipes are stamped as following: on the left side of the shank, you will see:

"Blatter
Montréal
Sélect"

On the right side of the shank, you can see a stamp of either Robert, or Patrick's, signature.

And, under the skank, you can see a stamping such as "41 - 11" (in my Sélect's case) which, in the case of my Sélect, means pipe 41 of 2011.

You also see 2 red dot on the side if i'm not wrong ?!?!
The regular pipe have 1 red dot on the left and the Rettalb grade have a 1 red and 1 white dot.

Can you confirm i'm not wrong Lord Guyrox ??

Here you can see the only 3 dot Blatter Select pipe.

Most Sélects only have 1 red dot, buddy.
The Sélects with 2 red dots are the ones that have exceptional grain, in the eyes of Robert or Patrick. So I have not seen a lot of them when I was a customer. Maybe a couple, not more.

Ok, thank's for the precision.
I've got one for 60$ at the Blatter store and it have a red dot so this is why I was thinking that the Select grade always have 2 red dot.

Mais çà me fait plaisir, Fred. ;)

Actually, it would make sense if all the Sélect pipes had 2 red dots. Yes, this series is easily recognizable from their basic series, but it would, still, distinguish them further.

Thanks for all the helpful advice guys but I was too slow pulling the trigger on this one and missed out. 'Twas only a single dot pipe too.

Thanks again

Tim
