i use both , but i like to use match , its funny for me and i think match is more hot than lighters cuz tobacco light faster than lighter :lol:

Zippo pipe insert when outside (with any breeze )- otherwise Zippo style Vector Thunderbird (butane).

*after posting this I thought I might try matches again. There is no doubt that, for me, they provide the best light for a pipe (indoors or in windless conditions). They also seem to add another nice layer of OCD to the ritual of pipe lighting - very enjoyable!
