I popped a tin of Marlin Flake that I dated January '07 and was amazed that the tin contained at least "foot long" flakes (rolled and stuffed in the tin).

Anyone experience that before with Marlin Flake?

The tin note is amazing... of course.

That's the way its packed in every tin. I bet it was actually one long flake that broke up.

That's the first tin I've opened of Marlin Fl that hasn't been more of a broken flake style, a couple of inches in length.

Really??? thats odd.. I've never opened a tin that wasn't one big long flake.

pb,

What's with the binomial? In hex it's 42, 72, 61, 6E, 64, 6F, 6D. Other than a predominance of 6s, I don't get it.

A Brandon by any other name .... :pirat:

Well, I'll be... this is something.... maybe the MF I opened before was an older date... I have some older tins but I ain't opening just to see if it's broken flake or not... :D

Paul, I reckon it's defective. I would be glad to trade you gram for gram of Captain Black or any number of other tobaccos of higher quality, and dispose of the offending Marlin Flake for you in a sanitary incinerator that I happen to have.

I've never seen a flake anywhere that long in any of the MF I've smoked over the years. Probably only opened two or three tins, but I've jarred up probably 7 or more pounds. It's usually a much better defined "flake" , albeit still broken, than say OG is.

Now I'll have to open one of the tins I've got aging now to see!

Natch

I get just what the ole boy pulled out of the can in the video. If anything its turned more plug like than broken flake type... Do you sit around and shake your cans for fun or something Puffs?

Your looking at it the wrong way..try 8-bit ASCII.
I decoded that signature several days ago with an online converter and concluded that
"Brandon" was your own secret.
You know how many amatuer detectives there are here....why couldn't it be "Redrum" or
"Alucard" so we could solve a mystery?

Winslow :sunny:

Cause I really didn't think it would be a mystery.. Besides with all of those contests you run if I had made it a mystery all these schmucks woulda been wanting a prize.
