I recently asked Blackhorse to make me a custom tamper as I am really into his work.  After some discussion (transaction) he agreed to help an old man out.

I got it yesterday and was using it within minutes.

I just wanted to share his artistry with my friends.

I like your new tamper Walt. Looks like BH is still practicing his magic and voodoo.  :)

FYI: the carved shaft is Stabilized Double Dyed Masir Birch, the brass tamp is the ideal...brass plumbing cap from plumbing parts store, found nylon lanyard, shell end pull from daughter's coat pocket after a day at the beach.

I love mixing high tech repurposed and found materials.

Very pleased it's working out for you.

I was curious as to the shaft material. Truly a one of a kind piece. Lovely work.

It truly is a pleasure to hold and use.  I can feel all kind of positive energy coming from it.

My thanks and appreciation to Blackhorse for it.

Beautiful tamper. Beautiful work from BlackHorse as usual. I love looking at his work...especially the Puukos he makes.
That tamper sure looks like it's loaded with magic, positive energy or something, now that you mention it. Beautiful!
I hope you get to enjoy it for many years to come.
